Born in 1952 in Chantilly, Alain Kurylo studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art which he completed in the 1970s. He is the student of the sculptor named Volti and the designer Serge Mouille.
For nearly fifteen years, the human figure has occupied a predominant place in his work. Expressive silhouettes with pure lines are declined: rough, rough, cracked, torn, broken, they are articulated in a wide variety of materials.
