Pair of « Champagne » chairs - Estelle and Erwin Laverne, 20th century
These two « champagne » chairs are made of plexiglass and steel and have brown leather cushions.
They were made by Estelle and Erwin Laverne in the 1960s.
Erwine Laverne studied in the United States and then in Europe from 1928. In 1934, he met Estelle Lester, who he married. Together, they started by creating wallpapers with wood and fake marble patterns as well as fabrics. Despite classic shapes, they offer a very personal vision of furniture and play the transparency card.
